HubSpot Website Modular Multilingual Modules

SHARE

Are you looking to build a multilingual website in HubSpot? There 's an out of the box solution for web, landing pages, and blog ... but not for automatically changing navigation and footer, and language messages (library). We have crafted a solution and build a HubSpot Module to solve that critical problem. Get it on the HubSpot Marketplace, and read here how to use it!

What is a multilingual website?

A multilingual website is a website that provides content in different languages. It helps an organization to extend its market, increase customer engagement, stay ahead of competitors, and boost SEO.

The HubSpot multilingual feature

For website pages and landing pages, HubSpot has a build-in system, where you can create a primary master page linked to x translated versions of that page.

An example. If you go the overview, you see a globe icon left of the title. This indicates that the page is translated, clicking the arrow you see all the linked translated pages:

The system automatically adds the language code at the beginning of the slug with or without country specification. You can choose plain English /en/ or English (UK) /en-gb/ . That HubSpot functionality is performant.

The HubSpot system does not help you, however, in "translating" your header and your footer, which means you need a new template for every other language.

Creating this is a challenge. You'll end up with lots of templates (different menus, different logos, and different texts), which are difficult to manage.

We, at leadstreet, created a multilingual language pack to solve this problem.

The Multilingual Language Pack

This pack allows you to create a global module, a multilingual header, and a footer that adapts based on the same language slug HubSpot is using (e.g., website.com/en/ or website.com/es/, etc.).

The pack consists of different modules. Each module changes an element based on the language slug: logo, text, cta, menu, search, etcetera.

In the pack, you find different modules that you can combine in a global header group. Below is the list of modules we offer to make a site multilingual:

In Europe, we are quite used to having websites in multiple languages. In Belgium, for example, we have 3 official languages: Dutch, French & German.

What is more, most of the companies have customers abroad, adding languages to the website.
